The rate of infection of covid-19 has slowed compared to a week ago. In the last week, 140 new covid-19 cases were confirmed for a total of 5,189 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. The number of recovered cases on Feb. 16 is 1,480 up from 1,447 from the week of Feb. 11, which means that there were 33 newly recovered cases within the past week. The number of new positive cases of the covid-19 virus continues to rise quickly in one week in Wasco. On Feb. 2, there were 4,724 cases and on Feb. 9, there is an increase of 325 new cases up to 5,049. The number of recovered is 1,444 up from 1,427 for the week of Feb. 2., which means recoveries have increased by 17 people. Wasco State Prison was fined $16,360 for the way it handled its employees during the coronavirus pandemic. Cal/OSHA fined several California prisons over the issue of employees and the coronavirus in the workplace.
