Come out to the Shafter Animal Shelter and meet this adorable guy named Aladdin. Aladdin is a 1-year-old German shepherd who is looking for a loving home. He is a little shy since coming to the shelter but would love to learn about toys and long walks. Aladdin has passed all of his Safer Dog Evaluations and is ready for his forever home. Princess came into the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray. This husky is approximately 4 to 6 months old and is great with staff and other dogs. She is friendly, affectionate, gentle, playful, smart, quiet and dignified. At the time, it is unknown if Princess is house/crate trained. Dogs are not tested with children. Donny came into the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray. He is an independent and quiet 2-4-year-old male cairn terrier. He was found abandoned and is slowly warming up to staff and other dogs. It is unknown whether Donny is house/crate trained at the time. Dogs are not tested with children; his behavior towards children is unknown. Donny will be available for adoption on Thursday, Dec. 22. Shafter Animal Control would like local residents to meet their beautiful girl Mandy. She is a 2- year-old brindle hound mix and has shown shelter staff that she is good with other dogs and just wants to be a lap dog. Mandy is a little timid at first but when she warms up to you, she is super sweet. She is strong, so they would recommend a strong handler. Some obedience training would be a good idea. 3 years ago: Nov. 11, 1992 John Fabrie of Fabrie Jewelers celebrated changing ownership to son Rich Fabrie. Rich continued the business for the next 30 years. Rich retired and closed up Fabrie Jewelers in 2020. 40 years ago: Nov. 10, 1982 The SHS marching band had their first annual band review.
