1 years ago: Dec. 29, 2010 The Wasco SAL members received new bikes as a part of a donation program from the Wasco State Prison. 20 years ago: Dec. 27, 2000 The SHS varsity soccer team won first place in the Graces Classic Tournament. The final game played in the tournament was Shafter against Wasco. The game was decided in sudden death and was won with Robert Soriano's winning goal. Blair, an approximately 4-year-old Shepherd mix, came in as an owner surrender. She has a black, tan and fawn short coat. Blair is timid toward staff and staff has been monitoring her. She is improving, but it is a slow process. Blair is great with other dogs and has been tested with small and large breeds. At the time it is unknown if Blair is house/crate trained. Comet came in as a stray alongside with Tiny. He is approximately a 3-month-old, male, Blue Heeler mix. He is great with staff and other dogs. He has been tested with small and large breeds. Leonidas came in as a stray. He is a 3-year-old medium coat, bicolor male German Shephard. He is great with staff and other dogs. He has only been tested with large breeds.
