Linda Denise Sharp

Linda Sharp was born to Betty and Thell (Ted) Adams in Los Angeles on June 10, 1954. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Jamie, on Dec. 20, 2018, surrounded by her family and loved ones, after fighting cancer for nine months.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Shafter, where she met and married the love of her life, James Sharp, on Dec. 21, 1968. Together, they had three children, Audrea, Jamie and James (Jimbo).

Linda enjoyed being a homemaker her entire life and raising her children, and many other children that called her Mom. She made sure everyone was fed, and cooked for every event possible. She loved baking and making treats for others, especially Christmas treats. She enjoyed sewing and making blankets for those that she loved.

Linda loved everything about Christmas. Her last wish was to have one last Christmas with her grandchildren, which she celebrated on Dec. 19.

Linda is survived by her daughter Audrea and husband Jerry, daughter Jamie and husband Rodger, son James (Jimbo) and wife Lynnette, and her grandchildren, Peyton, Hayden, Tyson, Hunter, Lucas, Andrew, Charlotte, and Zackary, her grandchildren. She is also survived by her bonus daughter, Crisey; grandchildren Jonathan, Jimmie, Kirsten, Angela and CJ; and great granddaughter Hailey. She is also survived by her only living sibling, her sister, Theresa Case.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents Betty Allen and husband Gary, and Ted Adams and wife Wanda; her brothers Thell Jr., Ted Wayne and Kenneth; and her niece Christina and her cherished mother-in-law, Ruby Sharp.

Linda was able to spend her 50th wedding anniversary in Heaven with James.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 97, 5350 South Union Ave,. Bakersfield, on Jan 3, 2019, at 11:30 am.
