Evangelistic event moved to March 8-10

The evangelistic event at Frist Southern Baptist Church originally scheduled for the first weekend in March is being moved to Friday-Sunday March 8-10.

Pastor Jim Neal said that there is a play at the Ford Theater the first weekend in March, so the event will be moved to make sure everyone will have a chance to attend.

Raul Perez, an evangelist from El Paso, Texas, will bring his unique story to Shafter. Perez was in prison when he came to know the Lord. Perez will be sharing his story for this special event

Friday will begin at 7 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a block party including bounce houses, food and entertainment before the action goes into the church at 6 p.m. for the service.

Sunday service will be at 10:45 a.m.

I think this event will touch many in the community, from older people to the young people who need a message of hope,” Neal said.
