RON PIERCE added a few pieces of information for his guess on Jan. 24's picture, at left: It is Shafter's first fire truck, built by P.E. Van Pelt Inc. It was built in 1940 or 1941 GMC fire truck. He identified two men in the picture, top row right, Ed Bender, and front row right, Frank Russell. Thanks, Ron!
