The Shafter Depot Museum opened two new exhibits, a parlor and a kitchen to represent the 1930s. The new features are on the second floor of the museum.
20 years ago: April 28, 1999
Hall Ambulance was welcomed to the Shafter community. The Shafter Chamber of Commerce celebrated with a ribbon cutting.
30 years ago: April 19, 1989
Shafco, the local hardware/contracting store, announced they were closing after 40 years in Shafter.
