Local furniture showrooms near you: iHome Wasco location joins Shafter outlet

A new store makes shopping easy right in town.

iHome Furniture in Wasco has now been open for three weeks, seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The store is located at 1425 Highway 46 (near the Highway 43 turnoff) and has an extra-large showroom to display its numerous furniture selections for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and more. With its custom child beds, lamps and bookcases, the store has a large selection to please people with even the most particular taste. “There is something for everyone,” owner Ali Alqudah said.

He and his brothers Zaid have owned the iHome Furniture store in Shafter for a year and the one in Wasco for just three weeks. The Shafter location is at 514 E. Lerdo Hwy., in the space that housed

Shafco for years.

Before opening their business in Shafter, they owned another business in Bakersfield.

“We have a special going on right now,” Zaid Alqudah said. “A four-piece queen-size bedroom set, which includes the frame (headboard and footboard) and a bedside table and dresser. However, we can add a box spring and mattress for an additional $200, which will be $699.”

The store charges $45 for in-town delivery, a little more if you are out of the city.

The brothers offer specialized customer service. Once they meet the customer, terms and conditions may be negotiated.

Promotional financing is currently available; if the purchase can be paid off within three months, there’s no interest. If it’s not paid off within three months, iHome has arranged for special financing.
