Shafter Community Wellness Fair — The event on Wednesday, March 11, starts at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 455 E. Euclid Ave., the Shafter Youth Center. Teen Advisory Board -- TAB Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. Teens grades 7-12 are invited to chat about favorite books and movies, play games with friends and make the library a great place. Help plan events that spark teen interest at the Shafter Branch Library.

Free Yoga — White Wolf Wellness Foundation offers a free yoga class Feb. 4, 18, 31 and Feb. 4 and 18 at the Wasco Community Center, 1280 Poplar Ave. Yoga instructor Yani Valdez teaches stretching to help with pain, stress and anxiety. Provided by Kern Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.

Hiking group --Shafter Christian Fellowship Church, 632 James St., hosts a hiking group every second Saturday.

Drug and alcohol alternative program -- Seventh Day Adventist Church, Poplar and West Lerdo Hwy., 7-8 p.m. This program is nondenominational and encourages each participant to depend on the strength God provides to deal with issues related to addiction.
