Student Spotlight: Isis Brownlow

Isis Brownlow is a senior at Shafter High School. Over the past four years, she has participated in the FFA, ASB, DWY and the swim team. In FFA, Isis was a chapter officer for two years; she would attend different leadership conferences and bring back knowledge to make the Shafter High School chapter a better program. Isis also showed several animals at the Kern County Fair over the years: pigs, goats, chickens and a steer. She won 1st in class for her pig sophomore year.

Isis is the social media liaison for ASB. She keeps up the ASB social media accounts to inform students and the public all about the things happening on and off campus. As a junior, Isis participated in the Distinguished Young Woman program, where she performed a monologue for her talent presentation and placed 4th alternate.

Isis has also been a part of the swim team for 4 years. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke and any freestyle events. Her favorite part of high school has been "attending different athletic events, dressing up during spirit weeks, and being a part of many teams."

After graduation, Isis plans to attend Cal State Bakersfield and study to become a nurse.
