State FFA 2021 degree recipients announced

Many of the FFA students have been working hard to be able to earn their state degrees. Members could receive their state degree their junior or senior year.

This year the chapter had 14 recipients for this degree. The requirements for this degree are to receive the Greenhand and Chapter Degree, been an active FFA member for at least two years and have invested in your project over $1,000 and have over 25 community hours.

The student must have also performed 10 parliamentary rule processes, delivered a six-minute speech on a subject related to agriculture or FFA, and served as an FFA representative, committee chairperson, or committee chairman to demonstrate leadership abilities.

The student also must have conducted 10 activities of the above, at the chapter level in at least three of the six categories listed in the Board of Directors' policies: leadership growth events, professional development events, conferences and workshops, mission shows, student awards, and leadership and service. This is the highest degree in the California FFA Association.

This year's recipients are: Ricardo Carriedo, Daniela Castillo, Kalani Castillo, Lindsay Lee, Emma Litchfield, Henry Marin-Acosta, Kailin Medina, Christopher Padilla, Vianey Padilla Meza, Sofia Reyes, Janeth Reyes-Rios, Anthony Reyna, Ixchel Sanchez and Jackelyn Villanueva.
