Bakersfield College to host open house Aug. 4

Bakersfield College will be holding an open house at the Shafter Learning Center on Aug. 4 to give the public information on the services that they are offering for residents.

The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Bakersfield College has been helping the city in its attempt to keep the Shafter Branch Library open. They will be partnering with the city and will be staffing the library.

Bakersfield College has also announced they are offering a variety of courses that will be available to all residents. They have been instrumental at Shafter High School, offering college level courses, as well as sponsoring scholarships for Shafter High students who are needing assistance in attending college.
