OBITUARY: Linda Curry

Linda Curry was born in Bakersfield on May 5, 1948. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 21, 2021.

Linda was a teacher at Richland Elementary School. She taught 4th grade, then special education and finally was the reading coordinator.

She missed the students after retirement, so she began tutoring at Bookhounds.

Linda was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School and Awana. Her desire to reach children with the Gospel extended to the world as she worked with Samaritans Purse.

Linda is survived by aunt LaDonna Curry of Clovis, uncle Eddy Curry in Lewisville, Texas, uncle Glen Parsons in Springdale, Ark., and many cousins. Services will be at the Shafter Cemetery Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.
