Pastor's Corner: A Name Above Every Name

Proverbs 22:11 says a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. I would like to talk about the greatest name ever spoken upon this earth. There is no other name like the name of Jesus Christ.

His name is a saving name. Isaiah. 45:22:

His name is a precious name. In 1 Peter 2:7, Peter said the name of Jesus was precious. His name means everything to a Christian. In that precious name I was saved. When I find myself in the storms of life I cling to that precious name. His precious name brings a soothing and calmness to our troubled souls. His name is precious because he died for my sins. His name is precious to me..

It is a powerful and a conquering name. The storms of life cease in that name. The devil trembles at the name of Jesus. It is a name that God has highly exalted. It is above any and all names.

Peter told the lame man in Acts 3:6 "In the name of Jesus Christ rise up and walk. "It is a name that one day every knee shall bow to and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
