Serving the community since 1922
Maki came into the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray. The female shepherd mix is approximately 7-8 months old. She is great with staff and timid toward other dogs. It is unknown if Maki is house/crate trained. Dogs are not tested with children; her behavior toward children is unknown. Maki will be available for adoption on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Everyone is welcome to adopt from our facility, and we like to give everyone the same opportunity to adopt. Adopters can be from out of town and/or local. We do not place holds for adoptions. Adopters are responsible for transportation.
Adoptions are on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning at 8 a.m. on the date they are available. You are welcome to call us the day before their availability to ensure the pet is still for adoption. Rescue pulls will be a first-come, first-serve starting at 10 a.m.; this only applies the first day of the animal's availability.
Rescue is a nonprofit organization with a tax-exempt 501(c)(3). If you have never pulled from the Wasco Animal Shelter, please email us two references (vet preferably) and a copy of your 501(c)(3) form to eubarraza@cityofwasco.org.
