Serving the community since 1922
Sept. 6, 1954 – Dec. 26, 2022
Our father, Stephen Fuller, passed away on Dec. 26, 2022 with his wife, Delores (Lola), by his side.
Stephen was born in Oildale at Cottage Hospital on Sept. 6, 1954, to Johnny and Patsymae Fuller. Stephen graduated from Shafter High School in 1973, going on to attend Brigham Young University. He married his high school sweetheart, Lola.
Becoming a father and grandfather was Stephen's greatest love. Our Daddy was great at everything. His love for cooking spread through so many families and friends. Music would fill our home, and our dad would sing his favorite song, "Over The Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
Stephen was generous with his resources and asked for nothing in return. His other passion was his succulents. He left behind over 300 plants.
Steve and Lola raised five children and 14 grandchildren. Daddy loved everyone the same. He's truly going to be missed every second of every day until we meet again.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, John and Patsymae Fuller, in-laws Jose and Magdalena Aguilar and daughter in-law Stephanie Fuller.
He is survived by his love, wife Delores Lola Fuller and daughter Sandra Songer, sons John Fuller and Matthew Fuller, daughter Claire Fuller, son-in-law Abran Sedillo, daughter Cheyenne Bardisa, son-in-law Joshua Bardisa, and grandchildren Stevie-Lynn Songer, Henry Songer, Haylee Gattis, Delaney Gattis, Alyse Fuller, Hailey Fuller, Kinsley Fuller, Gage Fuller, Kale Fuller, Piper Sedillo, Leroy Sedillo, Elijah Sedillo, Tahlia Bardisa and Aldric (Aldi) Bardisa.
Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, at the Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church, 400 Kern St., at 11 a.m.
