Pastor's Corner: Heaven will be worth it all

There’s an old song that says Heaven will surely be worth it all. The first verse of that song says, “Often I’m hindered on my way, burden so heavy I almost fall, then I hear Jesus sweetly say, Heaven will surely be worth it all.”

Heaven will be worth all the hurt.[Down here we have sorrow and suffering, but Heaven will be worth it all. In life we face many discouragements. Psalms. 42:5 says, ”Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted in me? Hope in God and praise him for his help.”

Elijah faced discouragement as he sat under a juniper tree, but the Lord gave rest and refreshing.

Many times we face disappointments. Disappointments mess up our dreams. Disappointment is an appointment that got all messed up. The balloon bursts or the bottom drops out, and it creates disappointment. Sometimes the present is too painful and we cry out as in Psalm 55:6, "Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest."

Heaven will be worth every struggle, hurt, sorrow and disappointment. Revelation 21:4 says, "God wipes away every tear, and there will be no more death, sorrow, crying and no more pain.” Hold on to God in your struggles. Heaven will be worth it all.

Heaven will be worth all the separation. Jesus said he was going to Heaven to prepare us a place, and that we would be with Him there. Now we see through a glass darkly, but in Heaven we will look upon the precious face of Jesus Christ. Heaven will be worth it all.

There will be no more separation from loved ones who died in the Lord. Heaven will be worth it all. Heaven is a place of reunion with family and friends who were Christians. Heaven is a holy place. No more murder, drugs or alcohol. None which defiles shall enter in. Are you tired of the world’s corruption and warped mind? Heaven will be worth it all. Romans 8:18 says, "The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Heaven will be worth it all.
