Coffee with a Cop on tap for Wednesday

The Shafter Police Department will be hosting a Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Tin Cup in Shafter. The event is in observance of National Coffee with a Cop Day.

Officers will be on hand to meet with the community, take pictures and visit with residents, answering any questions.

“Events like this promote a good rapport between the department and the community. We love our community and look forward to meeting with them and helping them with any concerns or questions that they may have,” said Police Chief Kevin Zimmermann, who made this comment last year during one of the many events that the Shafter Police Department has held.
