Jessie Lee Rosales

On Sept. 12, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m., Jessie Lee Rosales, brother, father and grandfather, passed away at age 74 from prolonged health complications and surviving a stroke that left him partially immobile and further complicated his health.

Jessie was born on Sept. 13, 1949, in Bakersfield, to Floyd and Maxine Rosales. He was the fifth of 12 siblings reared in Shafter, where he attended school and helped with farming chores and pursued ranching cattle.

He was a cowboy ranch hand for various large cattle companies such as Harris Ranch Cattle Co. of Coalinga and 3Brand Cattle Company of Shafter. He loved to hunt, running greyhounds and spending time with family and friends.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Maxine Rosales; brothers Joseph and Leo Rosales; sister Evelyn (Rosales) Zamora; uncles and aunts Paul and Rosie Rosales, Mike Rosales, Tony and Dorothy Rosales and Pete Rosales; aunt Susie and Julius Munsey; aunt Sabina and Joe Rodriguez; and two nieces and three nephews, Tina, Jennifer, Jason, Joshua and Randy Rosales.

He is survived by two daughters, Stefanie Rosales and Mallory Mobley; eight siblings, Eddie and Mercy Rosales, Floyd Jr. (Sonny) Rosales, Paul and Susie Rosales, Ralph and Emily Rosales, David Rosales, Keith and Frances (Rosales) Vontz, Gladys (Rosales) Costello, Fidel Jr. and Susan (Rosales) Gomez; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
