Keith Steven Henderson

Keith Steven Henderson, 69, passed away on Sept. 19, 2023, at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, after a long battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was born on Nov. 8, 1953, in Berkeley, to Ernest Henderson and Marjorie Anderson.

Keith grew up in Richmond. After high school, he attended Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, where he received an associate of science degree in hotel, motel and restaurant management. He worked for Wasco Affordable Housing as a property manager, where he worked for the past 7 years.

Keith married Marites in 2022 in Wasco. Keith was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed cooking from his garden, camping, cycling and lovingly helping others. In his youth he enjoyed the outdoors, surfing and skateboarding.

Keith is survived by his spouse, Marites, of Wasco; his former spouse, Kathy Edgington of Queen Creek, Ariz.; his sons, Ashley Henderson of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Ammon (Jasmine) Henderson of Mesquite, Texas; daughters Emily (Ren) Ariizumi of Dumfries, Va., and Brittany Henderson of Denver, Colo.; brothers Ernest (Mary) Henderson of Oakland, and Leon (Loise) Henderson of North Fork; 13 grandchildren; and his nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marjorie Henderson, brother Garry Henderson, and daughter Whitney Henderson.

A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2309 9th Place, Wasco, at 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6. A visitation will be held at Basham & Lara Funeral Care chapel, 342 State Ave., Shafter, 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5.
