SHS names Generals of the Month

Shafter High Principal Russell Shipley recently announced the Generals of the Month, those students who have exemplified the characteristics of a General in and out of the classroom.

The students were chosen by teachers and staff. They are selected based on their classroom performance, as well as their character traits away from the classroom.

Shipley presented the students with a certificate, as well as a special lunch in their honor.

."It is great to recognize those students who not only wear their General blue and gold spirit in class, but they embody it all throughout the day," commented Shipley.

Students chosen for this honor were: Gilberto Abarca-Soltero, Emily Aguirre, Anyela Anduaga Soto, Valeria Aragon Torres, Martin Barraza, Anthony Berrelleza Villegas, Adrian Burgoa, Christopher Castaneda, Alexis Castro-Ruiz, Heaven Cortez, Alyssa Crown, Laurel Franz, Gerardo Garcia-Cervantes, Frida Giron-Reyes, Kamila Godoy, Gabriella Gonzalez, Reyshell Granillo Fuentes, Ryleigh Griffin, Juan Guerrero Santacruz, Alize Hernandez, Flor Lopez-Acevedo, Angelica Lopez-Aguilar, Briana Mariscal Carrillo, Marion Mejia Gonzalez, John Mendez, Rodolfo Mondragon Xochimitl, Evan Perez, Ashley Pitter, Chloe Preciado, Ayleen Quezada, Jesus Solis Vargas, Lexi Vazquez, Jimena Vieyra-Ramirez and Debbie Zamora.
