Jeffery Shawn Tiger

Jeffery Shawn Tiger was born on Nov. 29, 1971, to Jack Tiger and Charlotte Osborn Tiger McPhetridge in Wasco.

Shawn grew up in Wasco and graduated from Wasco High in 1990. Shawn began his work journey at Larry Cross Tire Shop until he went to work for Advance Beverage, where he dedicated 19 years of his life. Shawn's work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile made him shine and stand out wherever he was. Later on in his life, Shawn worked for Custom Tile Works and KSI.

Shawn Tiger was one of a kind. He loved to ride and could ride anything. Whether it was screaming past you on a dirt bike or thundering through traffic on his Harley, you could guarantee he was all out. Shawn loved to be in the garage with family or friends working on cars and motorcycles. It didn't matter what it was, he would do his best to fix it himself.

Shawn loved the beach, and he loved camping at Pismo Dunes with his family and friends. He loved the Dodgers and the Houston Texans, but more than anything he loved being a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Shawn passed away on Dec. 11, 2024, at the age of 53 in Bakersfield. He's predeceased by his father, Jack Tiger, and brother Michael Tiger. His memory will be forever cherished and kept alive by his parents, Joe and Charlotte McPhetridge; brother Criston McPhetridge; children Joshua Tiger (Courtney Tiger) and Caitlyn Tiger; grandchildren Jase Tiger, Rylie Tiger and Presley Endes; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

A graveside service will be held on Jan.10 at 10 a.m. at Shafter Cemetery, 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter. A reception will follow at Westside Church, 2150 Palm Ave., Wasco.
